Yeah!  www.karennirefugees.com seems to finally be on Google's search engine!  I've tried to pass the website along to some of the resettlement organizations.  I hope they will also pass it on to volunteers or anyone they think it might be helpful to.

Hello, my name is Wes Hilton and I am the Interpreter Recruiter for Certified Languages International, an interpreting company. We are currently looking to add telephone interpreters to interpret part-time between English and Kayah, and I was wondering if you knew of anyone who might be qualified for such a position and interested in it.

This position offers good pay, flexible hours, and, perhaps most importantly, the ability to help Karenni immigrants deal with a variety of important situations in the United States. Additionally, all of our interpreters are independent contractors who work from home and set their own hours. This is a relatively easy and fun job for someone who speaks one of these languages as well as English and lives in the United States - no prior interpreting experience is required.

It has been very hard to find qualified interpreters for this language so far, so any help in this matter would be extremely appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you, and thank you in advance for any possible help in this matter. Please feel free to call me at (800)362-3241, ext. 311 or write me an e-mail at wes@certifiedlanguages.com.

Best regards,
Wes Hilton, Interpreter Recruiter

Art is a collaboration between God and the artist, and the less the artist does, the better. Do you agree?
